Bugs corrected in this release The application now supports PCs with more than one Ethernet adapter. ________________________________________________________________________________ 3. Recommendations when using this release The Gateway-Discovery application does not work with all OfficeConnect products. It has been tested with 3C855, 3CR856-95 and 3CRWE51196. The OfficeConnect Cable/DSL Gateway DHCP server is switched off when the PC running the Gateway-Discovery application and the Gateway are on different subnets. This will only occur when the Gateway-Discovery application successfully applies a temporary IP address to the Gateway. The user will need to manually switch the DHCP server on, in the Gateway menu or wizard. ________________________________________________________________________________ 4. Known problems with this release Windows 95 user will need to upgrade their PC to add Winsock 2.0 support for the Gateway-Discovery application to run. The W95ws2setup.exe file can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. ________________________________________________________________________________ 5. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
