The ISaGRAF embedded driver is firmware burned into the flash memory of 
the uPAC-7186EG/I-7188XG/I-7188EG. It can be easily upgraded by the user.

Our newly released driver can also be obtained from the following website.

  The copyright of the firmware and ISaGRAF embedded driver 
  belongs to ICP DAS CO., LTD. 
  Only the uPAC_7186EG/I-7188XG/I-7188EG and I-8xx7 controller have registered 
  a legal ISaGRAF Target license. To burn an ISaGRAF embedded driver
  into others is absolutely illegal and may be punished by law.

Make sure of your current driver version before you upgrade it.

1. Create a file folder named "7186EG" in your hard drive. 
   For example, "c:\7186EG".

2. Copy \Napdos\ISaGRAF\7186EG\Driver\1.12\"7188xw.exe", "7188xw.ini", 
   "7188xw.f4", "isa7186e.exe", "autoexec.bat" & "86-080429.IMG" 
   from the CD_ROM into your "7186EG" folder.

3. Run "\7186EG\7188xw.exe" in your hard drive. A "7188xw" screen will appear. 

4. Link COM1 or COM2 of your PC to COM1 of the uPAC-7186EG controller 
   through a RS232 cable. 

5. Power off the uPAC-7186EG controller, connect pin "INIT" to "GND" 
   and then power it up.

6. If the connection is Ok, messages will appear on the 7188xw screen.

7. Type ver to see the current OS date and version

8. Type "isa7186e *p=", the driver version No. and copyright message will be displayed.

      Use 'isa7186e *f=1' to free COM1, 'isa7186e *f=0' to set COM1 as Modbus RTU
      Use 'isa7186e *s=1 to 255' to set NET-ID to 1 to 255
      Use 'isa7186e *d=' to delete ISaGRAF program
      Use 'isa7186e *b=0 to 9' to set baudrate of COM1 as 1200,2400...
      Use 'isa7186e *x=PB' to set COM2/COM3 as Modbus RTU slave port
           P means port number, P: 2 or 3. B means baudrate, B:0 ~ 9
      ex : isa7186e *x=24, set COM2 as Modbus RTU slave and baudrate is 19200
          'isa7186e *x=f' to free COM2/COM3 port
      Baudrate are as follows : 1=2400,2=4800,3=9600,4=19200, 5=38400,6=57600,7=115200,8=300,9=600,0=1200

9. Type "isa7186e *b=n", Setting COM1 Baudrate ,n = 0~9, n=4(default)

    i7186EX_UDP> isa7168e *b=4
       Set Com1 Baudrate to 19200
    The setting for com1 baudrate are as follows : 1=2400,2=4800,3=9600,
    4=19200(default), 5=38400,6=57600,7=115200,8=300,9=600,0=1200


To burn an ISaGRAF embedded driver, follow the following steps. 

10. Power off the uPAC-7186EG controller, connect pin "INIT*" to "GND" 
   and then power it up.

11. Press "F4" to auto configuration as below:
    1. Update the uPAC-7186EG's date and time to be the same as your PC.
    2. Dowload "autoexec.bat","isa7186e.exe","86-080429.img"
    3  Reboot uPAC-7186EG.
     
    Wait about 60 SEC. to update ISaGRFA system.
   
   ***DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER IN THESE 60 SEC.***   

12. Type "dir" to make sure "autoexec.bat" and "isa7186e.exe" 
    are well burned.

13. Press ALT_X to exit "7188xw".

14. Remove the connection between "INIT*" - "GND", reset the uPAC-7186EG.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
