It can be easily upgraded by the user. Make sure of your current driver version before you upgrade it. ************** We use driver version 1.03 as an example ******************** 1. Create a file folder named "7186EG" in your hard drive. For example, "c:\7186EG". 2. Copy \Napdos\ISaGRAF\7186EG\Driver\1.12\"7188xw.exe", "7188xw.ini", "7188xw.f4", "isa7186e.exe", "autoexec.bat" & "86-080429.IMG" from the CD_ROM into your "7186EG" folder. 3. Run "\7186EG\7188xw.exe" in your hard drive. A "7188xw" screen will appear. 4. Link COM1 or COM2 of your PC to COM1 of the uPAC-7186EG controller through a RS232 cable. 5. Power off the uPAC-7186EG controller, connect pin "INIT" to "GND" and then power it up. 6. If the connection is Ok, messages will appear on the 7188xw screen. Power off the uPAC-7186EG controller, connect pin "INIT*" to "GND" and then power it up. 11. Press "F4" to auto configuration as below: 1. Update the uPAC-7186EG's date and time to be the same as your PC. 2. Dowload "autoexec.bat","isa7186e.exe","86-080429.img" 3 Reboot uPAC-7186EG. Wait about 60 SEC. to update ISaGRFA system. ***DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER IN THESE 60 SEC.*** 12. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
