The ISaGRAF embedded driver is firmware burned into the flash 
memory of the I-7188XG/I-7188EG. It can be easily 
upgraded by the user.

Our newly released driver can also be obtained from the following
website.
   ftp.icpdas.com/pub/cd/8000cd/napdos/isagraf/7188eg/driver/  

Warning:
  The copyright of the firmware and ISaGRAF embedded driver 
  belongs to ICP DAS CO., LTD. 
  Only the I-7188XG/I-7188EG and I-8xx7 controller have registered 
  a legal ISaGRAF Target license. To burn an ISaGRAF embedded driver
  into others is absolutely illegal and may be punished by law. 

Trademark:
  Products, names and trade names appeared belongs to their respective owner. 

Make sure of your current driver version before you upgrade it. 

Note:
   *******Only the legal I-7188EG/XG can get a legal license******

  The 7188EG/XG has embedded ¡§license checking¡¨ since their driver version of 2.01. 
  The 7188EG/XG delivered from ICP DAS after the date of Dec.01,2004 is burned with a legal license. 
  That means they are already licensed.
  If your 7188EG/XG is embedded with old version (driver version 1.xx) & wish to update it to version of 2.01 or later. 
  Please contact service@icpdas.com to get a legal license. 
  Please writedown the 8-bytes serial No. & product serial No of your I-7188EG/XG as below, 
  for example.
    8-byte Serial No : 	01  98  E1  A7  08  00  00  30   
    Product serial No. : 	I7188EG003KA003    (listed on the shell of your 7188EG/XG)

1. Create a file folder named "7188EG" in your hard drive. 
   For example, "c:\7188EG".

2. Copy \Napdos\ISaGRAF\7188EG\Driver\3.13\"7188xw.exe", "7188xw.ini" , "7188xw.f4" ,
   "isa7188e.exe" , "autoexec.bat" & "e-060915.IMG" from the CD_ROM into your "7188EG" folder.

3. Run "\7188EG\7188xw.exe" in your hard drive. A "7188xw" screen will appear. 

4. Link COM1 or COM2 of your PC to COM1 of the I-7188EG controller 
   through a RS232 cable. 

5. Power off the I-7188EG controller, connect pin "INIT" to "GND" 
   and then power it up.

6. If the connection is Ok, messages will appear on the 7188xw screen.

8. Type "isa7188e *p=", the driver version No. and copyright message will be displayed.

      NED-ID  : 1
      COM1 is Modbus RTU slave port,19200,8,N,1 (or COM1 is free)
      Use 'isa7188e *f=1' to free COM1, 'isa *f=0' to set COM1 as Modbus RTU
      Use 'isa7188e *s=1 to 255' to set NET-ID to 1 to 255
      Use 'isa7188e *d=' to delete ISaGRAF program
      Use 'isa7188e *b=0 to 9' to set baudrate of COM1 as 1200,2400...
      Use 'isa7188e *x=PB' to set COM2/COM3 as Modbus RTU slave port
           P means port number, P: 2 or 3. B means baudrate, B:0 ~ 9
      ex : isa7188e *x=24, set COM2 as Modbus RTU slave and baudrate is 19200
          'isa7188e *x=f' to free COM2/COM3 port
      Baudrate are as follows : 1=2400,2=4800,3=9600,4=19200(default),5=38400,6=57600,7=115200,8=300,9=600,0=1200

9. Type "isa7188e *b=n", Setting COM1 Baudrate ,n = 0~9, n=4(default) 
     i-7188E> isa7188e *b=4
        Set Com1 Baudrate to 19200
    The setting for com1 baudrate are as follows : 1=2400,2=4800,3=9600,4=19200(default),
    5=38400,6=57600,7=115200,8=300,9=600,0=1200


To burn an ISaGRAF embedded driver, follow the following steps. 

10. Power off the I-7188EG controller, connect pin "INIT*" to "GND" 
   and then power it up.

11. Press "F4" to auto dowload "autoexec.bat","isa7188e.exe","e-060915.img" 
   and reboot system. Wait about 60 SEC. to update ISaGRFA system.
   
   ***DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER IN THESE 60 SEC.***   

12. Type "dir" to make sure "autoexec.bat" and "isa7188e.exe" 
    are well burned.

13. Press ALT_X to exit "7188xw".

14. Remove the connection between "INIT*" - "GND", reset the I-7188EG.
