The first thing you need to do is create a bootable USB key. There are many different methods for creating a bootable USB flash key that can be found by using Google. We have looked at multiple different methods and found one we are going to share via this FAQ to be the easiest one to implement. You can reference these full FAQ's and the utilities necessary to created a flashable USB Key by going to www.tyan.com website and using our HelpSTAR support system. You can reference FAQ 1638 and 1639 for further details or you can just type is USB BIOS flash into the search line and it will find these FAQ's for you. TYAN does not 100% endorse the use of these tools that were found online. We are simply saving you research time by providing what we think is one of the easiest methods to implement. TYAN also warns that flashing the bios can cause unexpected consequences and even if done properly a bios flash can fail and render your motherboard inoperable. If there is any question as to whether you wish to do this yourself, please consult an expert to insure the maximum chance of success. Below are the steps to take when using both of these zipped packages that are attached to this FAQ: 1) Unzip USB Flash Key Files (Hpusbfw.exe and basic boot disk files) to a file on your desktop. 2) Plug your the USB memory key you wish to make into a bootable USB key into your system. 4) Now run the HP USB Disk Storage Tool. 5) Select the USB memory key that you just plugged into your system (if only USB device then utility will automatically choose it for you) 6) Choose your file system (we suggest FAT32 as default) 7) Enter a Volume label (Optional) 8) Under format options, choose create a DOS startup disk 9) Then make sure that you select use "using DOS system files located at" 10) Point the browser to the location where you unzipped the USB Flash Key files 11) Then click the start button Once all of these steps have been taken, your USB key will now be a bootable device. After you have completed that process, all you have to do at this point is load the bios package for your specific motherboard onto the USB key. Make sure that these files are unzipped. Before you can boot to your USB key you need to go into the bios and make sure that you have the USB key set as the first bootable device on your motherboard. Once this bios setting has been selected and you have saved and exited the bios, the system will then boot to that USB key. Then at the C: prompt simply type in flash.bat and the rest will be handled by the files included in your download. Once the bios process has been finalized you can simply reboot your system and the new bios will be loadedDownload Driver Pack
