Use the information file (.inf) for Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP or later

Philips monitors include the VESA DDC2B feature to support plug-and-play requirements 
for Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP. 

You can install this information file (.inf) to activate the plug-and-play application 
in order to select your Philips monitor from the Monitor dialog box in Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP. 

The installation procedure will depend on your operating system.

Here's how: 

For Windows 95
=============

1.	Start Windows 95
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Double click on the Display icon.
4.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
5.	Choose the Monitor button, point to Change' and click the Have Disk button.
6.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
7.	Click the OK button.
8.	Click the OK button again and choose your monitor model.  Click on OK.
9.	Click the Close button.


For Windows 98
=============

1.	Start Windows 98
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Double click on the Display icon.
4.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
5.	Choose the Monitor button, point to Change click Next
6.	In order to select the drive you want, choose Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location. Click Next 
7.	Click the Have Disk button. 
8.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
9.	Click the OK button and choose your monitor model. Click on the Next button.
10.	Click on the Finish button and then the Close button.




For Windows 98SE
===============

1.	Start Windows 98SE
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Double click on the Display icon.
4.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
5.	Choose the Monitor button, point to Change click Next
6.	In order to select the drive you want, choose Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location. Click Next 
7.	Click the Have Disk button. 
8.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
9.	Click the OK button and choose your monitor model. Click on the Next button.
10.	Click on the Finish button and then the Close button.


For Windows Me
==============

1.	Start Windows Me
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Double click on the Display icon.
4.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
5.	Choose the Monitor button, point to Change'.
6.	Choose Specify the location of the driver (Advanced) and click the Next button. 
7.	In order to select the driver for your monitor, choose Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location. Click Next 
8.	Click the Have Disk button. 
9.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
10.	Click the OK button and choose your monitor model. Click on the Next button.  Click Next again.
11.	Click on the Finish button and then the Close button.


For Windows 2000
==============

1.	Start Windows 2000
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Double click on the Display icon.
4.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
5.	Choose Monitor    
-	If the 'Properties' button is inactive, your monitor is properly configured. Please stop installation.
-	If the Properties button is active, click on the Properties button click on the Properties button and proceed to step 6. 
6.	Click on Driver and Update Driver.  Then click on the Next button
7.	Click on Choose Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver. 
8.	Click Next  and then the Have Disk  button 
9.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
10.	Click the Open button 
11.	Click the OK button and choose your monitor model. Click on the Next button.  Click Next again.
12.	Click on the Finish button and then the Close button 
13.	If the Digital Signature Not Found dialogue box appears, click the Yes button. 


For Windows XP
=============

1.	Start Windows XP
2.	Click the Start button; point to Settings and click on Control Panel.
3.	Select and click on Printers and Other Hardware
4.	Click on the Display icon.
5.	Choose the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button.
6.	Choose the Monitor tab

-	If the 'Properties' button is inactive, your monitor is properly configured. Please stop installation.
-	If the Properties button is active, click on the Properties button and proceed to step 7. 
7.	Click on Driver and Update Driver. 
8.	Choose the Install from a list or specific location [advanced] button
9.	Click Next and then the Have Disk  button 
10.	Choose the Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install button. Click on the Next button 
11.	Click the Have Disk button. 
12.	Click the Browse button and choose the drive in which you¡¦ve placed the disk.  Example: F: (CD-ROM Drive). 
11.	Click the Open button.
13.	Click the OK button and choose your monitor model. Click on the Next button.  
-	If the Has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP message appears, click the Continue Anyway button. 
14.	Click on the Finish button and then the Close button 
15.	Click OK button twice to close the Display Properties dialog box.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
