Please note the following information about installing: * To use TrueSync CE, you must be running Windows CE 2.0 or higher. * If you have previously installed TrueSync CE, make sure it is closed before installing TrueSync CE version 2.0. * Before you install TrueSync CE version 2.0, you must first uninstall TrueSync CE version 1.0. * Before you install TrueSync CE, you must remove any REX or REX PRO card from the PCMCIA slot of the HP handheld PC. Installation notes * After you complete the Setup Wizard, click the TrueSync icon in the window to synchronize. For details on additional customization and changing your initial settings, refer to the online help system. ================= 2. RELEASE NOTES ================= * If you restore a Calendar, Contacts, or Tasks database using the Data Backup utility on your HP handheld PC, it is important that you remove the synchronization map files in the \Maps folder on the HP handheld PC before you synchronize. To do so, on the desktop double-tap My Handheld PC, then double-tap Maps. Choose Edit | Select All, then choose File | Delete. Failure to remove the map files may result in data loss. * Owner information is only transferred from the HP handheld PC to the REX or REX PRO device; it is not a two-way synchronization. * The HP handheld PC clock is considered the Master clock. The REX or REX PRO device will be set to match the Master clock each time you synchronize. * REX and REX PRO devices store memos in plain text format, with no formatting information. This includes formatting such as bold text, underlined text, font changes, special indentations, etc. If you change a memo on your REX or REX PRO, the updated memo will be re-written to the HP handheld PC the next time you synchronize, and all formatting information will be lost. =============== 3. Uninstalling =============== Use Windows CE's Remove Programs feature to uninstall TrueSync CE. ====================================== 4.
