EPSON HDI Driver Plotter Configuration README File

After installing the HDI driver, follow the steps below to create a plotter configuration
file. For detailed information, refer to AutoCAD Help in the Help menu.
1. Start AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
2. Select Plotter Manager from the File menu. The Plotters folder opens.
3. Double-click the Add-A-Plotter Wizard icon. The Add Plotter dialog box appears.
After reading the Introduction Page, click the Next button.
4. Select My Computer, then click the Next button.
5. Select EPSON in the Manufacturers list box, then select your printer in the Models
list box (See Note below). Click the Next button.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the steps. When the Add Plotter - Finish
screen appears, click the Finish button. The plotter configuration file is added to
the Plotters folder.
7. Click the close button (the "x" button) in the upper right corner of the Plotters
folder window to close the window.
Note: In step 5, if EPSON is not displayed in the Manufacturers list box, or if the HDI
driver was installed in a place other than \ProgramFiles\AutoCAD\, create the
plotter configuration file by following the steps below.
1. Close Add-A-Plotter Wizard.
2. Start Explorer.
3. Open the folder in which the HDI driver was installed, then open the DRV folder. Copy
all of the files in this folder and paste them into the DRV folder in the AutoCAD or
AutoCAD LT folder.
4. Using the same method, open the HELP folder for the HDI driver. Copy all of the files
in this folder and paste them into the HELP folder in the AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT folder.
5. Start AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
6. Select Plotter Manager from the File menu. The Plotters folder opens.
7. Double-click the Add-A-Plotter Wizard icon. The Add Plotter dialog box appears.
After reading the Introduction Page, click the Next button.
8. Select My Computer, then click the Next button.
9. Select EPSON in the Manufacturers list box, then select your printer in the Models
list box. Click the Next button.
10. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the steps. When the Add Plotter - Finish
screen appears, click the Finish button. The plotter configuration file is added to
the Plotters folder.
11. Click the close button (the "x" button) in the upper right corner of the Plotters
folder window to close the window.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
