[Installation]

A, Installation:
To Install the Crystal Audio Driver, please complete one of
the following procedures:

Procedure 1 - Windows XP and Windows 2000
1. By default, the Microsoft/Intel driver gets installed.
It is named Intel ® 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller.
Remove this entry from the Sound, Video, and Game
Controllers section in device manager if using an ICH system.
2. Remove the corresponding Intel/Microsoft inf/pnf
file in	c:\winnt\inf. The names of these files are
wdma_int.inf and wdma_int.pnf. It is, of course, optional
that these get removed in the case of selecting the
"Display a list of all drivers in a specific location,
so you can select the driver you want" option in the
Add New Hardware Wizard. But Plug and Play will be
easier if they are removed.
3. Restart. Plug and Play will occur again. You will be
prompted for a driver.

Procedure 2 - Windows '98 SE and Millennium
1. Open Device Manager.
2. PCI Multimedia Device will have a yellow marker the
first time the operating system is installed.
3. Select "Properties" on the yellow marker.
4. Select the "Driver" tab.
5. Click on "Update Driver".
6. You will need the Windows Second Edition to complete
the WDM installation.
7. The entry that will show up in the Sound, Video, and
Game Controllers is: Crystal WDM Audio Codec.
8. A little Sound Icon appears on the Task Bar upon
completing the driver installation.

[Un-installation]

B. Un-Installation:

Procedure 1 - Windows XP and Windows 2000
1. Open Device Manager.
2. Remove Crystal WDM Audio Codec entry in the Sound,
Video, and Game Controllers section. The game controller
is not part of the audio driver. It is a separate device
altogether. Crystal is not the owner of the game controller
on this audio solution.
3. Delete Crystal INF and PNF in c:\winnt\inf. These files
are oem0.inf and oem0.pnf.
4. Restart your PC for Plug and Play to happen again.

Procedure 2 - Windows '98 Second Edition and Millenium
1. Open Device Manager.
2. Remove Crystal WDM Audio Codec entry in the Sound, Video,
and Game Controllers section. Crystal is not the owner of
the game controller on this audio solution.
3. Delete Crystal INF in c:\windows\inf\other
4. Restart your PC for Plug and Play to happen again.
