This is a Beta Multiband Wireless -G Driver which has been verified to work under: Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (32/64) Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (32/64) This DD-WRT-compatible driver was created by modifying the bcmwl6.inf "SOURCE DRIVER" It is a consolidation of drivers from Windows XP forward and for 32-bit only. There is no digital signature so expect the following to require a "MANUAL INSTALL". To do this: (1) Right-click on "My Computer" icon. (2) Select "Properties" at the bottom of the list. (3) Left-click "Device Manager", and when it appears: (4) Left-click the "+" to the left of your wireless adapter in the hardware list. (5) Verify that this is not Atheros or any other than "Broadcom". (6) Highlight the Broadcom Wireless driver, right-click, and choose "Update Driver Software". (7) Select "Browse My Computer" (8) Select "Let pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" and a window will open. (9) The multiband will not appear so select "Have Disk" and browse for "bcmwl6.inf" (10) The "Broadcom 802.11g Multiband Network Adapter" will appear as a choice. (11) Click "NEXT" at the bottom-right of the installation window. (12) When the warning appears that the driver is not "digitally signed", Install it anyway. (13) Your installation will go through without a hitch. (14) DONE WITH INSTALL AND ONTO CONFIGURATION. CONFIGURATION FOR CHANNELS 1-13 (Germany) -or- 1-14 (Japan) *I prefer Germany because the throughput is double that of Japan and for only a channel less. (1) In the Device Manager, expand the "Broadcom 802.11g Multiband Network Adapter" (2) Right-click and go to "PROPERTIES". (3) When the adapter properties open in a new window, select the "ADVANCED TAB" (#2) (4) You will see "LOCATION" as a choice; here is where you select your country. (5) Preferably, Germany will be your optimum for bandwidth in "G" so select and press "OK". (6) Now you configure the DD-WRT enabled router for "GERMANY" or "JAPAN" and Channel(s) 1-13/14 (7) Finally: Leave a rating for this file on Driver-Guide and explain your results please. *This is a Beta-driver and I am not a Broadcom worker, but a Dept of Defense Engineer. *This was done on my own time and on my own dime and does work for the following: HP Mini 210-1030NR My selection of this particular bcmwl6.inf because of its general compatibility. This is a Broadcom "SOURCE DRIVER" which covers many Windows 32/64-bit Systems The "bcmwl6.inf" file may be added to your OEM driver folder as a "TEST". If it does not work with these files, please "TRY YOUR OWN" Do this by: (1) Unzip your Dell, HP, Sony, etc., BCM Wireless Driver. (2) Copy and paste my modified "bcmwl6.inf" into your folder and attempt a manual install. AGAIN: Please do leave feedback as to your relative success/failure with this driver. It is a "labor of love" and a "work in progress" and these instructions only require: *******A FUNCTIONAL BRAINSTEM AND THE ABILITY TO "KNEE-JERK" REACT*******Download Driver Pack
