* verification. Some Intel Viiv verified applications and services may not work
* as expected if the Intel Viiv Software Setup.exe files are not found on the Intel
* Viiv technology-based PC. This file is only intended to be used by OEMs/system
* integrators or trained support personnel.
*
********************************************************************************
********************************************************************************
* 2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
********************************************************************************
1. The system must be an Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology-based PC
that contains one of the following Intel Chipsets:
Intel(R) 945G Express Chipset
Intel(R) 945P Express Chipset
Intel(R) 955X Express Chipset
Intel(R) 945GT/GM Express Chipset

4.2 INSTALLATION SWITCHES
/x : Uninstall mode
The /x switch causes Setup.exe to uninstall a previously installed
product. The original install setup.exe file is required.
Silent Installations
/s : Silent mode
The command Setup.exe /s suppresses the Setup.exe initialization window
for a Basic MSI installation program.
To run a Basic MSI product silently, run the command line Setup.exe /s
/v"/qn". (To specify the values of public properties for a silent Basic
MSI installation, you can use a command such as Setup.exe /s /v"/qn
INSTALLDIR=D:\Destination".)
Factory Installation switch
/v"FACTORYINSTALLMODE=1"
The command setup.exe /v"FACTORYINSTALLMODE=1" suppresses all
popup and services while in factory audit mode
factory audit mode is determined by C:\sysprep is present by default.
To change the location of sysprep from C:\sysprep to another location,
edit the following key to have the appropriate location
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\IntelDH]"sysprepfolder"="c:\\sysprep"
New Device notifications
/v"OEMRUNSCRIPT=1"
The command setup.exe /v"OEMRUNSCRIPT=1" ran with the installer and
PostInstall.vbs file in the same folder will suppresses all new device
popups for the end user
Miscellaneous switches
/v : pass arguments to Msiexec
The /v argument is used to pass command line switches and values of public
properties through to Msiexec.exe.
/L : Setup language
Users can use the /L switch with the decimal language ID to specify the
language used by a multi-language installation program. For example, the
command to specify German is Setup.exe /L1031.
MSIEXEC command line switches and properties (passed to Msiexec by using the /v)
/L : create log file
The /L argument creates a log file. The name of the log file can be specified by
enclosing within \" \" . For example to create a log file called "logfile.txt",
use setup.exe /v"/L \"C:\logfile.txt\""
INSTALLDIR : To specify the install location
By using the INSTALLDIR the installation location for the Intel(R) Viiv(TM) software
files can be specified. For example, setup.exe /V"INSTALLDIR=c:\install\here" will install
the Intel(R) Viiv(TM) software at "c:\install\here".
REBOOT=Force : To force a reboot
If a forced reboot is desired, using setup.exe /s /v"/qn REBOOT=Force" will force
a reboot at the completion of the silent installation.
REINSTALL=ALL: If it becomes necessary to re-install the same version of the
Intel(R) Viiv(TM) software that already resides on the system, the
REINSTALL=ALL property should be used. This will ensure that all files are
replaced.
********************************************************************************

Privacy Policy Supplement for Intel(R) Viiv(TM) Technology
********************************************************************************
This is only a supplement to Intel's corporate Privacy Policy
(www.intel.com/sites/corporate/privacy.htm).
This section describes our privacy-related information handling practices for
the software premium content module (SPCM) for Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology
using Windows* Media* Digital Rights Management (WM-DRM). We encourage you to
review the information contained here to ensure that you understand how the
SPCM operates, to help you enjoy specific types of premium content with your
Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology-based Home Network. In addition to playing
premium content, your Intel(R) Viiv(TM) technology-based PC will also play
non-premium content, that does not require the SPCM certificate.
** This product includes software developed by the OpenSSL Project for use
in the OpenSSL Toolkit (http://www.openssl.org/)
********************************************************************************
How the SPCM works
********************************************************************************
After you accept the software license for Intel(R) Viiv(TM) software, the
SPCM for Intel Viiv technology automatically collects the local network
address of your computer in an encrypted form. Collecting this information
will allow Intel to recognize your computer when you request an upgrade to
the premium content services on your Intel Viiv technology-based PC.
Information will also be collected to enable the individualization of WM-DRM
on your system, which will enable delivery of premium content. For more
information on WM-DRM individualization, refer to the Microsoft* web site
(www.microsoft.com).
The encrypted information that is transmitted to Intel will not be used by
Intel to identify: (1) any individual or group of individuals personally;
(2) any information about your computer, except the encrypted version of
the local network address; (3) an unencrypted version of your computers
local network address; and/or (4) your computer on any network.
********************************************************************************
Collection of Information for the Certificate Restore Service
********************************************************************************
The information that is collected by or sent to Intel as described above
may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in
which Intel or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.
Intel may only disclose this information if required to do so by law or
judicial due process.
If you decline the online delivery of an SPCM certificate, you will not be
able to play content that requires it. However, you will still be able to
access both non-premium and premium content that does not require the SPCM
certificate.
Intel will not retain your computer and certificate information longer than
is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as
required by applicable laws or regulations.
********************************************************************************
THIRD PARTY NOTICES.
Portions utilize Microsoft Windows Media Technologies.
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
Content providers are using the Microsoft digital rights management technology
for Windows Media ("WM-DRM") to protect the integrity of their content ("Secure
Content") so that their intellectual property, including copyright, in such
content is not misappropriated. Portions of this software and other third party
applications ("WM-DRM Software") use WM-DRM to transfer or play Secure Content.
If the WM-DRM Software's security has been compromised, owners of Secure Content
("Secure Content Owners") may request that Microsoft revoke the WM-DRM Software's
right to copy, display, transfer, and/or play Secure Content. Revocation does
not alter the WM-DRM Software's ability to play unprotected content. A list of
revoked WM-DRM Software is sent to your computer whenever you download a license
for Secure Content from the Internet. Microsoft may, in conjunction with such
license, also download revocation lists onto your computer on behalf of Secure
Content Owners. Secure Content Owners may also require you to upgrade some of
the WM-DRM components distributed with this software ("WM-DRM Upgrades") before
accessing their content. When you attempt to play such content, WM-DRM Software
built by Microsoft will notify you that a WM-DRM Upgrade is required and then ask
for your consent before the WM-DRM Upgrade is downloaded. WM-DRM Software used
by third parties may do the same. If you decline the upgrade, you will not be
able to access content that requires the WM-DRM Upgrade; however, you will still
be able to access unprotected content and Secure Content that does not require
the upgrade.
