- 2. Introduction

The Dtu2xx driver is a char driver for DekTec's DTU-2XX series of USB devices.
Currently the driver provides support for the following devices:
- DTU-205 (FantASI USB-2 ASI/SDI Output Adapter)
- DTU-225 (FantASI USB-2 ASI/SDI Input Adapter)
- DTU-234 (USB-2 8-VSB/QAM-B Receiver)
- DTU-235 (USB-2 DVB-T Receiver)
- DTU-245 (FantASI USB-2 ASI/SDI Input + Output Adapter)

Compile and install the driver by running 'make install'
Then install the module and the udev-rules by running:
("sh ./InstallDtu2xx")

The Dtu2xx driver has the following system requirements:
- Kernel version 2.6.8 or higher
- Linux hotplug should be installed
This driver was tested on Suse Linux 10.3
For easy usage of the driver, DekTec provides the DTAPI wrapper library.
The DTAPI hides the complexities of using the driver in a few easy-to-use
classes. The DTAPI is included in the Linux SDK.

firmware version fixes the following issues:
- Sometimes the receive channel fails to lock-on to
input signal after issuing a channel reset (225/245)
- 32nd bit of clock-reference-counter was stuck to
zero (225/245)
- Not all bytes in TX-FIFO were reported in the FIFO
load (205/245)

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
