Installing the eeE8 Driver for UnixWare* 7

To install the eeE8 driver for UnixWare 7:
1. Copy the eeE8.pkg file into any directory on the
UnixWare system, such as in the /tmp directory.
2. Make sure no other users are logged on and all user applications
are closed.
3. If there is an older version of either eeE or eeE8 driver on the system, first
run 'netcfg' and remove any configuration using these drivers. Exit 'netcfg'.
Reboot the system using "init 6".
4. Install the new driver using 'pkgadd'. For example:
# pkgadd -d /tmp/eeE8.pkg
5. Add and configure the NICs.
Refer to SCO UnixWare 7 documentation when installing NICs.
To ensure predictable behavior when installing NICs, deconfigure
all NICs and reboot the system prior to configuring new NICs or
reconfiguring installed NICs.

5a. Hot Plug enabled systems (see Note) require the eeE8 (DDI8) drivers
and must only be configured using the Hot Plug utility.
# scoadmin hot
5b. Systems not requiring Hot Plug PCI capabilities but wishing to use
eeE8 (DDI8) drivers should use netcfg.
# scoadmin network
5c. Use only netcfg to configure eeE (DDI7) drivers
# scoadmin network
6. Reboot the system.
NOTE: If you require Hot Plug PCI capabilities, the DDI 8 eeE8 driver must
be used. The DDI 8 driver is supported on UnixWare 7.1.0 and later
versions.
Hot Plug PCI capabilities also require a Hot Plug Controller driver
and the appropriate Hot Plug PCI ptfs.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
