Overview 

This is the Windows XP chipset driver for the computers listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section of this document. 


Installation

1.  The necessary files extract to the C:\Cabs folder and create a sub-folder using the name of the driver part number.  

2.  From the Start menu, click Run.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\D00644-001-001\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Removal 

This driver provides proper functionality of multiple system devices; therefore removal instructions for this driver and related files are not provided. 


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, download the file again, and then perform the installation steps for a second time.


Reason for Update 

This is the initial release of the driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
