Overview  

This is the Windows XP chipset driver for the computers listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section of this document. 


Installation

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file D00803-001-001.exe files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\D00803-001-001 folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, left-click Run, type C:\Cabs\D00803-001-001\Setup.exe, and then press ENTER. 

2.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Removal 

This driver provides proper functionality of multiple system devices; therefore removal instructions for this driver and related files are not provided. 


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.

This is the initial XP release of the driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
