1.  WINDOWS UPDATES/PATCHES
    ------------------------
    It is recommended that you install the following Windows 
    updates/patches:
	
     	a. Windows 2000 Service Pack 2

           This is a collection of updates that 
           fixes issues in the Windows 2000 operating system. This 
           new collection provides better support for AC-3 output 
           (non-PCM through WaveOut) for software DVD viewing.

     	b. Windows Updates
	   For other Windows updates, visit the Microsoft website
           regularly:
           http://www.microsoft.com


2.  DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT(DRM) TECHNOLOGY
    -----------------------------------------
    Microsoft's Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a technology which 
    enables the copyright owner of an intellectual property (for example, 
    a digital audio file), to control how the listener uses the file.

    To protect against unauthorised duplication, Sound Blaster Live!
    shuts down its digital output when encrypted files are played
    back through a Microsoft DRM supported audio player (for example, 
    Creative PlayCenter).


3.  MULTIPLE AUDIO DEVICES IN SYSTEM
    --------------------------------	
    If you encounter any problems operating with multiple audio 
    devices in your system, refer to the recommendations
    below:

    4.1 Audio card

        Uninstall and remove the existing audio card 
        from your computer.

        To uninstall the existing audio card, do the following:

	1) Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
	2) Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.	
	3) Click the Install/Uninstall tab, and then click the 
           audio software you want to uninstall.
	4) Click the Add/Remove button.
	5) Follow the onscreen instructions to complete 
	   the uninstallation.
        6) Remove the audio card from your computer.
	 	
     4.2 Onboard audio chip

         Disable the onboard audio chip through your computer's BIOS 
         settings. Refer to your motherboard manual for details.
