Installing ICC Profiles



1. Overview



 ICC profiles compatible with the type of media supported by your printer will be installed. 

 The ICC profiles are convenient when you want to use optimal profiles (in the printer driver and various applications) for the type of media you are using and the desired print quality.

 Note:

  - Some ICC profiles are installed automatically during installation of the printer driver and Media Configuration Tool.

  - Individual profiles may not be compatible with all types of media.





2. Instructions



*Installation from the installation CD-ROM

 Windows: Click Install in the installer to create a folder named iPF9000S_ICC_profiles on your desktop.

 Macintosh: Select ICC Profiles in the installer to create a folder named iPF9000S_ICC_profiles on your desktop.



*Installation by downloading required files

 Download the iPF9000S_ICC_profiles folder. 





The iPF9000S_ICC_profiles folder contains the following files. 

Before use, please read the explanation in the folder (Install_English.pdf). 



  - ICC Profiles

  - Manual with instructions (Install_English.pdf)

  - Compatibility chart for ICC profiles and types of media (ICCprofile_English.pdf)

  - Readme_English.txt (this file)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
