3. Precautions During Installation --------------------------------------------

* For more about installation the procedure, please refer to the manual.

* You must log into Windows as an Administrator before the installation.

* Before performing the installation, close all the other application software.
You cannot install with imagePROGRAF Status Monitor running.

* If you are using an HDI driver with a version of AutoCAD/AutoCADLT/DWG
TrueView undetectable at installation, install using the following procedure.
   (1) From File - Plotter Manager, select Add-A-Plotter Wizard
   (2) From the Plotter Model addition screen, select Have Disk
   (3) From the User Software CD (or when downloading, from the folder created
after decompressing), select the install file from the applicable
version folder appearing after the folder: \HDI\English, and then
continue by following the installation method in the user’s manual.

4. Cautions, Limitations, and Restrictions ------------------------------------

Note the following limitations when using this software.

* Some print data may cause shift in hatching patterns or left/right reversal
  of the image.

* When you are using the Modify Standard Paper Sizes function to create a
custom size with the one of the Wizard formats, the value displayed for the
print area may be smaller that the size of the actual printing area.
You may be able to enter a value smaller than the actual printing area. If
you enter values smaller than the actual printing area, the values will be
corrected internally and set to the minimum values allowed.

* If you change the media size in the page setup screen of AutoCAD 2005 /
AutoCAD LT 2005 and the result of the change is not reflected on the drawing
screen, the change can be reflected properly by redrawing.

* With AutoCAD 2004 or AutoCAD LT 2004 if you open the printer environment
settings editor from the printer manager on the control panel and change
either Size or Source under Media the changes may not be reflected.
In such a case open the printer environment setting editor from the page
setup menu for AutoCAD to do the change.

* Occasionally fine striped patterns may appear in the bitmap areas of images
that contain pasted bitmaps and printed with 2-level monochrome.
If this occurs, selecting 256-level grayscale may solve the problem.

* If you select Perceptual under Color Matching to print bitmap data pasted
into an image, the gradation levels in some areas may not appear natural.
If this occurs, selecting Colorimetric under Color Matching may solve the
  problem.

* Occasionally dots may appear with some print data printed with 16777216
  color.
In such a case performing the print job with 256 color may solve the problem.

* With AutoCAD 2000 or AutoCAD LT 2000, occasionally color may not be reflected
properly in printouts immediately after pasting bitmap images into the
  drawing.
In such a case, saving the drawing once, opening it again and then printing
  again may solve the problem.

* Printing may result in an error if the output destination is changed to
another port once it has already been set to output to a file and printing
  has been started.
If an error results, open the HDI driver properties with the output
destination still changed, make any necessary changes, then save the changes
to update the printer environment settings file.

* If you encounter trouble while printing, try printing with Canon imagePROGRAF Printer Driver.
