Identification If the drivers were previously installed, the modem is identified in Device Manager under Modems as PCI SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP. 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 3. In Performance and Maintenance, click System. 4. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, double-click Modems. 6. Under Modems, if PCI SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP is listed, this is the correct driver. Installation 1. Download the file to the desktop. 2. On the desktop, double-click the Modem7120900.exe file. The needed files are expanded to the C:\Cabs\Modem7120900 folder. 3. From the Start menu, click Run. 4. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\Modem7120900\HXFSetup.exe. Click OK. 5. The PCI SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP driver is installed. Removal 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon. 3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, click SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP, and then click Change/Remove. Troubleshooting If you have difficulty installing the new driver, download the file again, and then perform the installation steps. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
