The VIA Hyperion 4 in 1 driver includes four system drivers to improve the performance and maintain the stability of systems using VIA chipsets. These four drivers are: VIA Registry (INF) Driver VIA AGP GART driver VIA ATAPI Vendor Support Driver VIA PCI IRQ Miniport Driver Identification To confirm that this is the correct update for your computer, perform the following steps. If the computer is turned off: 1. Turn on the computer. At the eMachines screen, press the Tab key. This screen goes by quickly so it may be necessary to press the Pause key on the keyboard. 2. If K8M-800M is listed on the bottom of the screen, this is the correct update. To continue the startup, press the Delete key on the keyboard. If the computer is turned on and in Windows: 1. From the Start menu, click Shut Down. In the Shut Down Windows dialog box, select Restart, and then click Yes. 2. As soon as the computer restarts, at the eMachines screen, press the Tab key. This screen goes by quickly so it may be necessary to press the Pause key on the keyboard. 3. If K8M-800M is listed on the bottom of the screen, this is the correct update. To continue the startup, press the Delete key on the keyboard. Installation 1. Download the file to the desktop. 2. On the desktop, double-click the VIAchipset451.exe file. The needed files are expanded to the C:\Cabs\VIAchipset451 folder. 3. From the Start menu, click Run. 4. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\VIAchipset451\VIAHyperion4in1451v.exe. Click OK. 5. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next. 6. In the VIA Service Pack README dialog box, click Yes. 7. In the 4in1 Setup Mode Option dialog box, click Next. 8. In the Setup Components dialog box, click Next. 9. In the VIA PCI IDE Bus Driver 1.20a dialog box, click Next. 10. In the VIA_GART AGP Driver 4.42b dialog box, click Next. 11. Drivers are installed. 12. In the Restarting Windows dialog box, click Yes, I want to restart my computer now, and then click OK. Removal The VIA Hyperion 4 in 1 driver provides proper functionality of multiple system devices, therefore removal instructions are not provided. Troubleshooting If you have difficulties installing this update, download the file again, and then verify that all instructions in this document are followed. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
