Overview  

This document describes the steps necessary to install the AMD Chipset driver for the eMachines W4630 computer in Windows XP and 2000.


Identification  

If you have an eMachines W4630 computer and are running Windows XP or Windows 2000, install this driver.


Installation

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (9533116.exe), files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\9533116 folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run. 

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9533116\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  In the Windows XP ATI South Bridge Drivers Setup dialog box, click Next.

4.  In the License Agreement dialog box, click Yes to agree to the terms of the license agreement.

5.  Files copy.

6.  Installation is complete.  In the InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box, verify that Yes, I want to restart my computer now is selected, and then click Finish.


Removal

Because it is necessary for these drivers to be installed for proper functionality of your Gateway notebook computer, there is no removal process.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, attempt to reinstall this driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
