FIXED ISSUES ------------ None. KNOWN ISSUES ------------ * Driver for PnP IDs WEC1020/1021 does not support changing the CIR RC wake key. The wake key is determined by the EC FW, and cannot be modified by the driver. This is the only limitation in Windows CIR version 2 DDI support. * The "Repair or Remove" dialog (which appears when a repair procedure is initiated) is in English only, regardless of the local system language. * In Croatian systems, the user interface dialogs appear in English (the EULA appears in Croatian). HISTORY ------- Version 8.60.2001 August 2009: ENHANCEMENTS None. FIXED ISSUES * When installing the drivers, a dialog may notify that the driver is not digitally signed, although it is. The driver is safe to use, and therefore, users should select the option to "Install this driver software anyway" and continue the installation. Version 8.60.2000 August 2009: ENHANCEMENTS * All drivers are certified for Windows 7 * All driver naming (driver name, file names, resources and registry path) is now Nuvoton Technology instead of Winbond Electronics * Drivers 8.1.62.3000 and 8.1.63.2000 are distributed with WDF co-installer * Driver 8.1.63.2000 supports WEC1025 PnP ID - for systems with main CIR input connected to CIRRXL pin (CIRRXM pin cannot be used for learning - so only receive functionality is supported for WEC1025). FIXED ISSUES * In driver 7.1.63.1001 learning (Priority) receive reported a wrong frequency in some scenarios * Driver 7.1.64.1013 generated a Blue Screen when running Windows Logo tests version 1.4 with Verifier active Version 8.60.1001 July 2009: ENHANCEMENTS None. FIXED ISSUES * Installation failed on systems whose language was not English. Version 8.60.1000 July 2009: ENHANCEMENTS * Driver 8.1.62.3000 supports Windows 7. * The installer installs only one driver (for PnP ID WEC1020 and WEC1021), only on Windows 7. FIXED ISSUES None. Version 7.60.5007 November 2008: ENHANCEMENTS * The Installer works on Croatian, Arabic, Hebrew and Traditional Chinese Windows systems. On such systems, the EULA appears in the local language (previously an English EULA appeared on these OS's). FIXED ISSUES None. Version 7.60.5006 June 2008: ENHANCEMENTS None. FIXED ISSUES * After resuming from S3 power state, the HID CIR driver might not report the first key press. * If a key is pressed and the IR signal does not reach the IR receiver (e.g., due to inaccurate pointing to the IR receiver), the next key pressed might not be reported by the HID CIR driver. Version 7.60.5005 May 2008: ENHANCEMENTS * If installation was attempted on a system on which the package is already installed, a dialog window (in English) appears and enables Repair, Remove or Cancel options. FIXED ISSUES * If installation was attempted on a system on which the package is already installed, a window would appear and immediately disappear, and installation would not occur. * The "Repair" option from the Add/Remove Programs (XP) and "Change" option in Programs and Features (Vista(R)) did not actually reinstall corrupt or missing driver files. Version 7.60.5002 January 2008: ENHANCEMENTS * Setup.exe can be called without a -i flag, even if invoked from a different directory. * Added version resource to setup.exe. FIXED ISSUES * If installation was attempted by a user without administrator privileges, no error message would appear, although installation would not succeed. Version 7.60.5001 January 2008: ENHANCEMENTS * The package supports multilanguage installation, including multilanguage license files (major version number change). FIXED ISSUES * If installation was invoked from a directory other than installation files path, and installation files path contained hyphens, then installation would not succeed. Version 7.60.1012 August 2007: ENHANCEMENTS * The package contains the new WPCE775x Windows MC CIR Port Driver. * The installation package supports both WPCE775x and WPC876xL chips. FIXED ISSUES * HID CIR driver sometimes issued fake report due to external noises. * HID CIR driver default settings (winbondhidcir.reg) disable the remote control address (ID) matching mechanism. Version 7.60.1003 June 2007: ENHANCEMENTS * The HID CIR driver supports 32/64-bit Windows XP. * Changed installation procedure - Added silent installation mode - Removed limited installation mode - Added HKLM\SOFTWARE\Winbond Electronics Corporation\CIR Device Drivers\install registry entry for installation status determination FIXED ISSUES * HID CIR driver reacted improperly to some IR transactions.Download Driver Pack
