Overview 

This is the Windows Vista IDT/SigmaTel audio driver for the computers listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section of this document. 


Installation

After downloading and double-clicking the IDT_Audiov5939.exe file, the needed files are extracted and copied to the C:\Cabs\IDT_Audiov5939\ folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, in the Start Search field, type: C:\Cabs\IDT_Audiov5939\Setup.exe, and then press the ENTER key.

2.  In the User Account Control dialog box, click Allow/Continue.

3.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Removal 

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 

2.  In Control Panel, click Uninstall a Program.

3.  In the Programs and Features window, select IDT Audio, and then click Uninstall.

4.  In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

5.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the removal.


Troubleshooting

If you have difficulty during or after the driver installation, download the file again, and then perform the installation steps for a second time.
