Overview  

This document describes the steps necessary to install the Windows Vista Chicony Webcam driver for the computer models listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section below.


Identification  

If you have a computer listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section and are running Windows Vista, install this driver.


Installation

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (D20189-001-002.exe), files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\D20189-001-002\ folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run. 

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\D20189-001-002\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 

2.  In Control Panel, click Uninstall a Program.

3.  In the Programs and Features window, select the Camera Assistant Software for Gateway, and then click Change.

4.  In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

5.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the removal.


Troubleshooting

If you have difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.  


Reason for Update

This is the initial release of the Windows Vista driver.
