Overview  

This is the Windows Vista network driver for the computers listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section of this document. 


Installation

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file VIWLAN, files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\VIWLAN folder on the hard drive.

1.  From the Start menu, in the Start Search field, type: C:\Cabs\VIWLAN\DPInst32.exe, and then press ENTER.

2.  In the User Account Control dialog box, click Allow/Continue.

3.  Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Removal 

1.  On the desktop, click the Windows icon.

2.  Right-click Computer, and then click Manage.

3.  In the left pane, click Device Manager.

4.  In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) in front of Network Adapters.

5.  Right-click Intel PRO/Wireless xxx Network Connection, and then click Uninstall.

6.  In the Confirm Device Uninstall dialog box, click to check Delete the driver software for this device, and then click OK.

7.  The network adapter uninstalls and Windows automatically reinstalls the Windows built-in driver, version 10.6.0.15.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.
