HIDFP.SYS
  This is the HID Front Panel driver binary.

HIDFP.INF
  This is the file used by the Add Hardware Wizard to install the
  driver.

HIDFPIns.EXE
  This file is used for installing the HID Front Panel driver on a
  system.

HIDTest.EXE
  This file is a unit test application for the HID driver.

 Prerequisites
**********************************************************************

You must have at least version A04-0007 or better of the BIOS to
properly install and use this driver.

This driver only works on Fab B or better My Room PC motherboards.

 Installation Instructions
**********************************************************************

1. Extract all the files to a folder on your hard drive.
2. Open the folder where the files were copied and run HIDFPIns.EXE.
3. If prompted, click "Continue Anyway". You may see this message
   twice.
4. Once installation is complete, the New Hardware wizard will find
   a new device and pop up an install dialog. If you wait long enough,
   this dialog will go away by itself.

Otherwise,
5. Select the option to let Windows install the device automatically.
6. When complete, click the Finish option to complete the install.

- Fixed a blue screen when overinstalling the driver.  Overinstalling
  or uninstalling the driver now requires a reboot.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
