Identification If you have a Solo 9550(r) portable computer, upgrade to this BIOS. Installation Download BIOS 29.05.04, part number 7512002, and then click the .exe file to extract the BIOS files. The default download path is C:\cabs\7512314. 1. Copy the BIOS files from C:\cabs\7512314 to a pre-formatted floppy disk. 2. Verify that the computer is plugged into the AC power adapter. 3. Leave the floppy disk in the floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer. 4. At the A:\ prompt, type: 290504.exe. Press the ENTER key to start the BIOS flash process. 5. The system restarts when the flash is complete. Removal This is a BIOS file, and it is critical for system operation. There is no way to remove these updates. Reason for Update This is the latest BIOS update for the Solo(r) 9550. This BIOS resolves an intermittent reboot/shutdown timing issue. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
