Identification If you have a Solo 5300 with the internal Xircom mini-PCI modem, you need to install these drivers. Installation 1. Go to the folder where the driver files were extracted and double-click Setup.exe to begin the installation. The default folder is C:\cabs\98WDM for Windows 98 and Windows Me, C:\cabs\98NT4 for Windows NT, and C:\cabs\7511874B\WIN2K for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. 2. In the Modem window, click OK. 3. When the installation is complete, the program closes. If installing in Windows NT 4.0, you need to click Finish to restart your computer. Removal 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 3. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, click Xircom mini-pci modem, and then click Add/Remove. 4. In the Warning dialog box, click Yes. 5. Click Restart. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
