Warning!!!!! This BIOS is for use with the Gateway 2000 Solo 2200 ONLY!!!!!



Under Windows 95

1.)  Reboot the system and press the F8 key when the system reports "Starting Windows 95". 
     This will put you to the Windows 95 Startup menu.
2.)  From the Windows 95 menu choose "Safe mode command prompt only".
3.)  Go to the directory that you have the file saved to and type "Flash BIOS634.bin". This 
     will update your system and shut down the computer. When you power up your system the 
     BIOS should now be upgraded.

Under Windows 3.1x

1.)  Reboot the system and press the F5 key when the system reports "Starting Ms-Dos". You 
     should receive a message that tells you Ms-Dos is bypassing your config.sys and 
     autoexec.bat files. This should put you to the c:\ prompt.
2.)  Go to the directory that you have the file saved to and type "Flash Bios634.bin". This
     will update your system and shut down the computer. When you power up your system the 
     BIOS should now be upgraded.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
