This is Firmware Ver.1.24 for UJDA110L-QT. This firmware resolves two symptoms: 1. A failure while installing Windows95(JPN) OSR2. 2. The secondary IDE controller on the Solo 2500 may have a yellow exclamation point in Windows 98 Device Manager which results in the CD-ROM not being recognized. ****To Update Firmware from Floppy Diskette: 1. Download the file CDQT124.EXE onto a bootable floppy. 2. Execute the file CDQT124.EXE by typing "CDQT124.EXE" in Dos or double clicking on the file in Windows 3. The file will automatically extract the necessary firmware update files. 4. Restart the system with the floppy disk in the drive. At the A:\> type the command to start the CD-ROM firmware upgrade. 5. The following is the command needed to upgrade the firmware on a Solo 2500 only. LOAD128C /m QT124.DAT [Enter] 6. Reboot the system only when it states to. 7. Test the system while in Windows 98. Download the file CDQT124.EXE into a folder on your Hard Disk Drive. 2. Boot the system into Safe Mode Command Prompt Only. The file will automatically extract the necessary firmware update files. 5. The following is the command needed to upgrade the firmware on a Solo 2500 only. LOAD128C /m QT124.DAT [Enter] 6. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
