Overview

These are the Windows XP modem drivers for the Solo 1400.


Identification

If you have a Solo 1400 with Windows XP, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  On your screen, double-click the 7512106 update file that you downloaded.  The files self-extract and copy into the C:\cabs\7512106 folder. 

2.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 

3.  In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click the System icon. 

4.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 

5.  In Device Manager, double-click Other Devices, and then double-click PCI Simple Communications Controller.

6.  In the PCI Simple Communications Controller Properties dialog box, click Reinstall Driver.

7.  In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next.

8.  In the next dialog box, select Don't Search I will choose the driver from a list, and then click Next.

9.  In the Hardware Type dialog box, select Modems, and then click Next.

10.  In the Install Modem dialog box, click Have Disk.

11.  In the Install From Disk dialog box, type: C:\cabs\7512106.  Click OK.

12.  In the Install New Modem dialog box, the Conexant 56K AC Link Data Fax Voice Modem appears.  Click Next.

13.  In the next dialog box, click Finish.

14.  In the Conexant 56K AC Link Data Fax Voice Modem Properties dialog box, click Close. 


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

4.  In Device Manager, double-click Modem, and then double-click Conexant 56K AC Link Data Fax Voice Modem.

5.  In the Modem properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.

6.  In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click Ok.

7.  Close Device Manager.


Reason for Update

This is the initial release of the drivers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
