Overview

These are the display drivers for the Solo(r) 9500 portable computer running Microsoft(r) Windows(r) XP.


Identification

If you have a Solo(r) 9500 portable computer and are running Windows(r) XP, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  On the Start menu, click Run.

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\CABS\7512517\M3XP\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

4.  In the License Agreement dialog box, click Yes.

5.  In the Install Shield Wizard Complete dialog box, click Finish to restart the computer.


Removal

1.  On the Start menu. click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs.

3.  In Add or Remove Programs, click ATI Display Driver Utilities, and then click Change/Remove.

4.  In the ATI Uninstall dialog box, click OK.

5.  In the next dialog box, click Yes to restart the computer.


Troubleshooting

If you are having problems with your display adapter, try reinstalling it again by following the installation steps listed in this document.  If the problem persists, try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it.


Reason for Update

This is the initial release of the drivers with Windows(r) XP support.  It also allows for dual display support.

The part numbers for the Solo(r) 9500 are 3500845, 3500846, and 3500847.  The part number for this driver is 7512517.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
