Overview

This document describes the steps necessary to retrieve the serial number for the Solo(r) 9500 portable computer.

Identification

If you have a Solo 9500 and are not able to find your serial number and need it for identification, use this file.

Installation

1. Insert a blank, formatted floppy disk into your floppy disk drive.

2. Browse to the folder where the file was downloaded, and then double-click Showall.exe.

3. In the Win Zip Self-Extracting dialog box, accept the default location for extraction, A:\. Click Unzip. This extracts the files to your blank, formatted disk.

4. After the extraction process is complete, click OK. The disk now contains files that allow the computer to start to the disk.

5. From the Start menu, click Shutdown, and then select the option to restart the computer.

6. The computer starts to an A:\ prompt.

7. At the A:\ prompt, type: Showall.exe. Press the ENTER key.
