Identification If you have a Solo(r) 9550 and are running Microsoft(r) Windows(r) XP Home or Professional, install these display drivers. Installation 1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 2. In the Performance and Maintenance window, click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under Other Devices, double-click Video Controller (VGA Compatible). 5. In the Video Controller (VGA Compatible) Properties dialog box, click Reinstall Driver. 6. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, click Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next. 7. Click to clear the Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...) check boxes, and then select the Include this location in the search check box. 8. In the text box, type the location of the driver files, and then click Next. The default location is C:\cabs\7512243. 9. Click Finish. 10. In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes to restart the computer. If a Warning dialog box opens indicating that there are some open property windows, click OK. The computer restarts. 11. After the system restarts, on the Start menu, click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes. 12. In the Appearance and Themes window, click the Display icon. 13. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab. If you have a 15.0-inch LCD, move the Screen Resolution slider to 1,024 x 768 pixels. If you have a 15.7-inch LCD, move the Screen Resolution slider to 1,280 x 1,024. Click OK. 14. The screen may flash. If prompted, click Yes to retain the display settings. Removal 1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 2. In the Performance and Maintenance window, click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, select NVIDIA GeForce2 Go (Gateway), and then click Change/Remove. 5. The previous driver is installed. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
