Identification If you have a Solo 9300 portable computer with an 8X DVD drive, upgrade to this firmware version. Installation Copy the Files 1. Download and double-click the 7508939.exe file. The files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\7508939 folder on the hard drive. 2. In the C:\Cabs\7508939 folder, from the Edit menu, click Select All. 3. From the Edit menu, click Copy. 4. Quit all programs and close all windows. 5. Place a formatted, blank floppy disk in the floppy disk drive. 6. On your screen, double-click the My Computer icon. 7. In the My Computer window, double-click the A: icon. 8. In the A:\ window, from the Edit menu, click Paste. The files are copied to the floppy disk. 9. Restart the computer with the disk in the floppy disk drive. 10. At the A:\ prompt, type: FLASH. Press the ENTER key. 11. When the flash is completed, remove the floppy disk, and then restart the computer. Removal The firmware cannot be removed. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, verify that you have a Solo 9300 portable computer with an 8X DVD drive. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
