Identification If you have a Solo 5350 portable computer and are running Windows XP, install these drivers. Installation 1. In the C:\cabs\7511284 folder, double-click ESSetup.exe. 2. In the Setup dialog box, click Next. 3. In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish. 4. The driver is now installed. To finish the installation, the computer restarts. Removal 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 2. In the Performance and Maintenance window, click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers, right-click ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM), and then click Uninstall. 5. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK. 6. Close Device Manager. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
