Overview

This file is the BIOS for the Solo 3350.


Identification

If you have a Solo 3350, you will want to upgrade to this BIOS.


Installation

1.  Extract or copy BIOS files to a bootable floppy disk.

2.  Verify that the system is plugged into A/C or has a minimum of 20 percent battery life remaining.

3.  Start to the disk you extracted the files to.  The BIOS flash starts automatically.  When finished, the system will restart.

4.  When the system restarts, press the F2 key to enter the BIOS Setup utility.  You may receive a "CMOS CHECKSUM INVALID, DEFAULT VALUES WILL BE LOADED" message.  

5.  Verify that any previously customized CMOS settings are intact.

6.  Move to the EXIT menu screen. Select Save Changes & Exit, and then press the ENTER key.  Press ENTER to continue. 

7.  The system restarts.  Remove the floppy disk from the disk drive.


Reason for Update

This BIOS adds support for Speedstep utilities for additional processors.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
