Overview

These is the keyboard BIOS version K28.02.10 for the Solo(r) 3450 portable computer.


Identification

If you have a Solo(r) 3450 portable computer, upgrade to this BIOS.


Installation

1.  After downloading the file, double-click 7512660.exe to extract the files to your hard drive.

2.  Copy all of the BIOS files from the C:\CABS\7512660 folder to a bootable floppy disk. 

3.  Place the floppy disk in the floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer.

4.  At the A:\ prompt, type: 3400kbd H8DD21.BIN.  Press the ENTER key to begin the flash.  

5.  When the flash is completed, the computer shuts down.  Remove the disk from the floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer.


Removal

This file cannot be removed.


Troubleshooting

If you are having problems flashing the keyboard BIOS, verify that you are attempting to flash a Solo(r) 3450 and not a different Solo(r) computer.  If you continue to have problems, contact technical support.


Reason for Update

This BIOS addresses the computer entering hibernation.

The part numbers for the Solo 3450 are 3501104, 3501105, and 3501147.  The part number for this file is 7512660.

How To Update Drivers Manually

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
