NOTE1_21.TXT Driver File Contents (7506413.exe)

*** THIS IS THE GATEWAY BATTERY LEARNING PROGRAM ***

The entire process may take up to 16 hours per battery so be sure that
you allow sufficient time for the program to complete. You will not be able to
use your notebook during this time. Generally it will take about half this time.
Having a fully charged battery will make the run time shorter.
Running the test overnight is recommended.

Ensure that the battery is correctly placed in the battery bay. The AC adapter
should be connected and the system LED at the right must be green or orange.
This indicates that the notebook is being powered from the AC adapter.

When the program is completed, exit by pressing Ctrl + C. If it is necessary to
use your notebook before the process is complete, you may exit the program by
pressing Ctrl + C, but the process will have to be done again from the start.

NOTE: It is only necessary to run this program about once per year or whenever
you believe that your battery's charge is not being accurately reported.
