This file is to help in the installation of the 6x and 8x cd-rom driver for the Solo 2100. From a MS-Dos prompt you will need to do the following: 1.) Check to see if there is a "CDROM" directory on the hard drive. (To do this type dir /p.) If there is no CDROM directory on the hard drive type "MD CDROM" (From the Dos prompt) and press enter. This will create the directory for you. 2.) Copy the TEAC_CDI.SYS file to the CD-ROM directory. 3.) Put the following line in the Config.sys file. To do this type "edit config.sys" from the Dos prompt. DEVICEHIGH=C:\CDROM\TEAC_CDI.SYS /D:CD1 4.) Put the following line in the autoexec.bat file. To do this type "edit autoexec.bat" from the Dos prompt. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
