The Launch Manager software provides support for the multi-function buttons on the right side of the Gateway M505. Identification If you have a Gateway M505 notebook computer and are running Windows XP, install this software. To see which version of software you have, follow these steps: 1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Launch Manager, and then click Launch Manager. Note: If Launch Manager is not listed on the Start menu, you do not have it installed. 2. In the Launch Manager window, click About. 3. In the About Launch Manager dialog box, the version number is listed. Installation After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (9526113.exe), files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\9526113 folder on the hard drive. 1. From the Start menu, click Run. 2. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9526113\Setup.exe. Click OK. 3. In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, click Next. 4. Files copy. 5. In the Restarting Windows dialog box, select No, I will restart my computer later, and then click OK. Removal 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs. 3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, select Launch Manager, and then click Change/Remove. 4. In the Launch Manager dialog box, click Yes. 5. In the Launch Manager dialog box, click OK. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the software installation, follow the removal procedure, and then reinstall the software. Reason for Update Fixes for this driver: not changing the song numbers on the AV panel when the computer is playing an audio CD in Media Player 9.0, audio intermittently becomes jerky when adjusting volume, AV control panel buttons have a delayed response when pressed.
