The SMI BlueBird Playlist Editor software allows you to create playlists for the AV Control Panel on a Gateway M505. Identification If you have a Gateway M505 portable computer and are running Windows XP, install this software. To see what version of software you have, follow these steps: 1. From the Start menu, click All Programs, SMI BlueBird Playlist Editor, and then BlueBird Playlist Editor. Note: If SMI BlueBird Playlist Editor is not listed on the Start Menu, you do not have it installed. 2. In the Playlist Editor window, click Help, and then click About. 3. In the Playlist Editor dialog box, it should list the version number. Installation After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (9525519.exe), files are self-extracted and copied into the C:\Cabs\9525519 folder on the hard drive. 1. From the Start menu, click Run. 2. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9525519\Setup.exe. Click OK. 3. In the Welcome to the Playlist Editor Setup Wizard dialog box, click Next. 4. In the Select Installation Folder dialog box, click Next. 5. In the Confirm Installation dialog box, click Next. 6. Files copy. 7. In the Installation Complete dialog box, click Close. Removal 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs. 3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, click the Playlist Editor, and then click Remove. 4. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Yes to remove the program. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the software installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the software. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
