Identification If you have a Gateway M275 notebook computer and are running Windows XP install these drivers. Installation 1. The files are extracted to C:\Cabs\9524559. 2. From the Start menu, click Start, and then click Control Panel. 3. In the Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 4. In Performance and Maintenance, click the System icon. 5. In the System Properties box, click Device Manager. 6. In Device Manager, click Other Devices, and then double-click Multimedia Audio Controller. 7. In the Multimedia Audio Controller box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update driver. 8. On the Update Wizard screen, place a check in Install from specific location, and then click Next. 9. Place a check in Include this location in the search. 10. Type C:\Cabs\9524556, and then click Next. 11. Click Finish. Removal 1. From the Start menu, click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. In the Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 3. In Performance and Maintenance click the System icon. 4. In the System Properties box, click Device Manager. 5. Click Sound, video and Game controllers. 6. Double-click SigmaTel C-Major, and click the Driver tab. 7. On the Driver tab, click Uninstall. 8. Click OK to confirm device removal. 9. Close Device Manager. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then reinstall the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
