Identification If you have a Gateway M360 notebook computer and are running Windows XP, install these drivers. Installation Download and double-click the file (D00267-001-001.exe). Files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\D00267-001-001 folder on the hard drive. 1. Open Control Panel. * If you are using the Windows XP default Start menu, from the Start menu, click Control Panel. * If you are using the Classic Start Menu, from the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, open System. * If you are in Category View, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click the System icon. * If you are in Classic View, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab. 4. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Network adapters. 6. Click Ethernet Controller, and then from the Action menu, click Properties. 7. In the Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver. 8. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, click to select Install from a list or specific Location (Advanced). Click Next. 9. Browse to the C:\Cabs\D00267-001-001\Drivers\WinXP folder, and then click Next. 10. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box, click Finish. 11. Click Finish to restart the computer. Removal 1. Open Control Panel. * If you are using the Windows XP default Start menu, from the Start menu, click Control Panel. * If you are using the Classic Start Menu, from the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, open System. * If you are in Category View, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click the System icon. * If you are in Classic View, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab. 4. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Network adapters. 6. Click to select Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter, and then from the Action menu, click Uninstall. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then reinstall the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
