Identification If you have a Gateway notebook computer listed below and are running Windows XP or Windows 2000, install these drivers. Installation After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (9523652.exe), files are self-extracted and copied into the C:\Cabs\9523652 folder on the hard drive. Windows XP 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under PCMCIA adapters, double-click Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. If the driver has never been installed, it is listed as PCI to CARDBUS Bridge under Other Devices. 5. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box or in the PCI to CARDBUS Bridge Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update driver. 6. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Install from a list or Specific Location (Advanced), and then click Next 7. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Don't search I will choose the driver to install, and then click Next. 8. In the next dialog box, click Have Disk. 9. In the Install From Disk dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9523652. Click OK. 10. Windows detects and installs the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. 11. In the Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish. 12. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box, click Close. Windows 2000 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under PCMCIA adapters, double-click Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. If the driver has never been installed, it is listed as PCI to CARDBUS Bridge under Other Devices. 5. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box or in the PCI to CARDBUS Bridge Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update driver.. 6. In the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next. 7. In the Install Hardware Device Drivers dialog box, select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended), and then click Next. 8. In the Locate Driver Files dialog box, verify that only Specify a Location is selected, and then click Next. 9. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9523652. Click OK. 10. Windows detects and installs the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. 11. In the Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish. 12. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box, click Close. Removal Windows XP 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under PCMCIA adapters, double-click Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. 5. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall. 6. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK. Windows 2000 1. From the Start menu, point to settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, under PCMCIA adapters, double-click Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller. 5. In the Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall. 6. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
