Identification This BIOS can be installed on a MS-6741 motherboard. Installation The BIOS should be flashed if: 1. You are updating to a newer BIOS revision. 2. A technician has told you to flash or re-flash the computer. Steps to flash or re-flash the computer using a CD burner drive: 1. Burn the C:\Cabs\a674v1vg1341\a674v1vg1.nrg file to a blank CD, using Nero CD burning software. 2. After creating the CD, place the CD in the CD/DVD drive, and then restart the computer. 3. The BIOS flash process runs automatically. Do not press any keys or turn off the computer during this process. 4. When the flash is complete, remove the CD from the CD/DVD drive, and then press the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys to restart the computer. 5. The computer restarts. 6. Press the F2 key to load the default values and continue. Note: After the BIOS update, the first startup of the computer may not complete. It may be necessary to turn off the computer by pressing the power button for 5 seconds, and then starting the computer again. Steps to flash or re-flash the computer using a floppy disk drive or bootable USB flash drive: 1. Copy all of the BIOS files except a674v1VG1.nrg from the C:\Cabs\a674v1vg1341 folder to a blank floppy disk or a USB flash drive. 2. Restart the computer with the floppy disk/USB flash drive plugged in. 3. The BIOS flash process runs automatically. Do not press any keys or turn off the computer during this process. 4. When the flash is complete, remove the floppy disk/USB flash drive from the computer, and then press the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys on the keyboard. 5. The computer restarts. 6. Press the F2 key to load the default values and continue. Removal Because a computer must have a BIOS to operate, there is no removal process. The BIOS cannot be removed after it has been upgraded. Troubleshooting If you have trouble flashing the BIOS, try the process again following the steps listed in the Installation section of this document. If you are still unable to flash the BIOS, confirm that you are attempting to flash the BIOS on an MS-6741 motherboard. If this process still fails, contact technical support. Reason for Update This is the current released BIOS for the MS-6741 motherboard. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
