Overview
========
The Intel Matrix Storage Manager RAID edition is designed to provide functionality for the Intel(R) 82801ER/82801GR/82801GH SATA RAID Controller.  


Installation
============
The file Iata_enu.exe is a self-extracting file that creates a directory on the C: drive titled C:\Cabs\Iata_enu and extract a file into that directory.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run.

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\Iata_enu\Iata_enu.exe.  Click OK.

3.  In the Welcome to the InstallShield(R) Wizard for Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager dialog box, click Next.

4.  In the Warning dialog box, click Next.

5.  In the Software License Agreement dialog box, click Yes to accept the terms of the license agreement.

6.  In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, click Next.

7.  In the Select Program Folder dialog box, click Next.

8. In the InstallShield(R) Wizard Complete dialog box, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and then click Finish.

9.  The computer automatically restarts.  Installation is complete.


Removal
=======
The Intel Matrix Storage Manager is required for all RAID configurations and should not be removed.  The Intel Matrix Storage Manager Utilities are not required for normal operations.   

These utilities can be removed by the following method:

1.  From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Intel Matrix Storage Manager, and then click Uninstall.

2.  If you currently have a RAID configured a Warning message displays.  Click OK to remove the non-critical components of the software.

3.  In the Question dialog box, click Yes to remove the non-critical components.

4.  In the next Question dialog box, click No.

5.  This completes the removal of Non-critical components.

===============
If you have difficulties installing this update, download the file again, and then ensure that all instructions in this document are followed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
