Overview
========
The Intel Application Accelerator RAID edition is designed to provide functionality for the Intel(R) 82801ER SATA RAID Controller.  


Identification
==============
To confirm that this is the correct driver for your motherboard, follow these steps:

If the computer is turned off:

1.  Turn on the computer.  On your keyboard, repeatedly press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

2.  In the BIOS Setup utility, on the Main tab, look for the BIOS version line.  The version needs to read BZ87510A.xxx.xxxx.Pxx.  (x represents an alphanumeric value that will vary dependent upon the version of BIOS currently loaded) The BIOS prefix BZ87510A is constant and specifically identifies the correct motherboard.

3.  If this is correct, this is the correct BIOS update for your motherboard.  Press the F10 key to exit the BIOS Setup utility.

If the computer is turned on and in Windows:

1.  From the Start menu, click Shut Down.  In the Shut Down Windows dialog box, select Restart, and then click Yes.

2.  As soon as the computer restarts, on your keyboard, repeatedly press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

3.  In the BIOS Setup utility, on the Main tab, look for the BIOS version line.  The version needs to read BZ87510A.xxx.xxxx.Pxx.  (x represents an alphanumeric value that will vary dependent upon the version of BIOS currently loaded) The BIOS prefix BZ87510A is constant and specifically identifies the correct motherboard.

4.  If this is correct, this is the correct BIOS update for your motherboard.  Press the F10 key to exit the BIOS Setup Utility.


Installation
============
The file 9524332.exe is a self-extracting file that creates a directory on the C: drive titled C:\Cabs\9524332 and extract files into that directory.

1.  From the Start menu, click Run.

2.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9524332\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

3.  In the Welcome to the InstallShield(R) Wizard for Intel(R) Application Accelerator RAID Edition dialog box, click Next.

4.  In the Warning dialog box, click Next.

5.  In the Software License Agreement dialog box, click Yes to accept the terms of the license agreement.

6.  In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, click Next.

7.  In the Select Program Folder dialog box, click Next.

8. In the InstallShield(R) Wizard Complete dialog box, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and then click Finish.

9.  The computer automatically restarts.  Installation is complete.


Removal
=======
The Intel(R) Application Accelerator RAID Edition drivers are required for all RAID configurations and should not be removed.  The Intel(R) Application Accelerator RAID Edition Utilities are not required for normal operations.   
These utilities can be removed by the following method:

1.  From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Intel(R) Application Accelerator RAID Edition, and then click  
Uninstall.

2.  If you currently have a RAID configured a Warning message displays.  Click OK to remove the non-critical components of the software.

3.  In the Question dialog box, click Yes to remove the non-critical components.

4.  In the next Question dialog box, click No.

5.  This completes the removal of Non-critical components.  


Troubleshooting
===============
If you have difficulties installing this update, download the file again, and then ensure that all instructions in this document are followed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
