All previous updates are superseded by this update. Identification This BIOS can be installed on the motherboards and computer models listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section below. Do not use this BIOS if you have a computer that was overclocked from the factory. Installation Prepare your computer Before updating your computer's BIOS, Enter the current BIOS Setup Utility, and then write down each of the current settings in the event that this information is needed again after the update. Note: The following instructions may vary depending on the operating system loaded on the computer. Performing the update 1. After you have downloaded and double-clicked the BIOS update file (9539757_NON-OC.exe), the files self-extract and copy into the C:\Cabs\9539757_NON-OC directory on the hard drive. 2. From the Start menu, click Run. 3. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9539757_NON-OC\. Click OK. 4. In the C:\Cabs\9539757_NON-OC\ window, right click on AFUWIN.EXE and select Run as Administrator. 5. If prompted with the User Account Control dialog box, click Allow. 6. In the C:\Cabs\9539757_NON-OC\AFUWIN.EXE dialog box, click OK. 7. In the AFUWIN dialog box, click Open. 8. In the Open dialog box, select 6801100R.ROM in the C:\Cabs\9539757_NON-OC\ folder and then click Open. 9. In the AFUWIN dialog box, check Restart After Programming, and then click Flash. 10. The BIOS is updated. Please wait for the process to complete. 11. When the update finishes verifying the computer restarts. 12. On the first boot after the BIOS update has completed, it is possible to receive a Checksum error message. This is caused by some BIOS parameters not being set at the default values. Enter the BIOS Setup Utility, reset BIOS options to optimal defaults (press F9), and then save and exit (press F10) the BIOS Setup Utility. Removal Because a computer must have a BIOS to operate, there is no removal process. The BIOS cannot be removed after it has been upgraded. Troubleshooting If you have trouble flashing the BIOS, try the process again following the steps listed in the Installation section of this document. If you are still unable to flash the BIOS, verify that you are actually attempting to flash the BIOS on a model listed below. If this process still fails, contact technical support. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
