Identification If you have a Gateway 200ARC and are running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000, install these drivers. Installation Windows XP 1. The files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\9522224 folder. 2. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 3. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then double-click the System icon. 4. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers, double-click SigmaTel C-Major Audio. If the driver has never been installed, it is listed as PCI Audio device under Other Devices. 6. In the SigmaTel C-Major Audio Properties dialog box or in the PCI Audio Device Properties dialog box, click the Drivers tab, and then click Update driver. 7. Click Install the software automatically (Recommended), and then click Next. 8. Windows identifies the SigmaTel C-Major Audio. 9. Click Finish. Windows 2000 1. The files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\9522224 folder. 2. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 3. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 4. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 5. Click to clear the Floppy Drive and CD-ROM drives check boxes, and then select the Specify a location check box. Type the location where you downloaded and extracted the wireless driver files, and then click Next. The default path of the drivers is C:\Cabs\9522224\ for Windows XP. 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
