Identification If you have a Gateway 450SX4 portable computer and are running Windows XP, install these drivers. Installation 1. In the C:\Cabs\7512881 folder, double-click ESSetup.exe to begin the installation. 2. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next. 3. In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish. The computer restarts. Removal 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 3. In Performance and Maintenance, click the System icon. 4. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, double-click Sound, video and game controllers, and then double-click ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM). 6. In the ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM) Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Roll Back. 7. When prompted if you are sure you would like to roll back to the previous driver, click Yes. 8. In the ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM) Properties dialog box, click Close. 9. Close Device Manager. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
